Fix without Safe Mode

Is the goal going to be to do a scan and repair without
having to go into safe mode?

Telling folks to reboot into safe mode can be a "project"
unto itself, most folks don't know about it, and you can
hear the compliant forming when you tell them they have to
do that...

Couple this with the various "99999"/quality programs that
most software companies have, and we really need solutions
that can be fixed on-the-spot, no reboots, no rescans...
That is what folks are looking for...

Thanks,

Randy

Yes, this is current work around for the time being of the beta 1 release, I
expect to see this change in beta 2 definitely. Its not strange though to
tell somone to use safe mode, this regularly applies to Antivirus utilities
in certain cases.

Of course, that would be most desirable and is possible now as long as the
software is not exploiting a security flaw to keep itself installed or
abusing admin privileges to gain that strong foothold. This is what people
face from malware and makes it entirely different from normal software.

There are other situations that require safe mode to correct problems -
that's one of the reasons it exists.

I seriously doubt that you are going to see the complete elimination of the
need to boot into safe mode as long as people refuse to keep their machines
patched, do not properly guard and secure their machines, and click on any
link they happen to see or open every attachment they get in their email.

Good goal - probably not possible.

I agree that user shouldn't have to go through safe mode
in order to remove the spyware/adware. People who's not
experience or not tech savy enough will have a hardtime
doing this. the main goal is to make this application
easy to use, so people won't get frustrated. when people
look at antispyware they expect that the software would
do all the work without having to go through step like
safemode, KB about lost internet connection(winsock fix)
which take time to do.

I expect Microsoft to improve how they remove
spyware/adware, so we don't have to go through step
that's very unfamiliar to some computer user.
