fix, or at least play incomplete video downloads

any player or tools to fix incomplete downloads of video files ? been
getting like 85% of a torrent file and then a day goes by w/o any further
stuff coming down... so looking to be able to at least view the fraction
i've been able to get ? the files can be avi's mpg's asf's mov's wmv's -you
know, the whole gamut of video file types....

mpg, asf, wmv should play normally as incompletes; I forget the
behaviour of mov and rm.
For incomplete avi's you need virtualdub to fix the file, or if you only
want to view it, AviPreview is excellent. You can use AviPreview to view
an avi or mpg while it is downloading. Excellent app.
