I am looking for a good [dos] AVscanner. Will this one do the trick? Does
Avira AntiVir classic PE have ibm pc dos scanner? Does anyone have a list of
this type of scanner available? tia-maria

KAVDOS32.EXE has better detection. See my website for the KAVDOSNT
and K-Boot downloads. In Windows, use the KAVDOS.EXE program to
download and update data bases. Use the K-Boot diskette for scanning
in plain DOS (FAT only). Make sure to read the enclosed txt file for
more info.

Not if you're planning on running it in a dos window of anything later
than winme. There's a serious issue with using it on xp in that it
misses out most of the files it is supposed to scan.

The command line version which ships with f-prot for windows
(fpcmd.exe) works fine.

Thanks,
I am thinking of using it as a secondary AV and in a clean boot. As amazing
as it may be I am win98se and [loving it] and incrediably clean. I have been
on all the later OS but, those were the days!
