Firewire not shown in Device Manager

Apparently my system does not even see any firewire devices??? I am trying
to connect an external video capture device.

I am running SP2 on a new machine. It cam with an onboard firewire. My
usb/firehub is also not recognized.

it must be enabled in the bios not sure if you need any drivers/ winxp
usually has them.

I couldn't find any options in the BIOS to enable it???
