Firewire driver prob

P

Paul

Hi folks, this error is starting to appear in event viewer (XP SP3)

Sometimes this error appears, and the entry for the firewire appears (Its a
PCI FW card) says its fine in device manager, but the icon for it doesnt
appear in network connections.

But at the mo, its a code 10 in device manager, and obviously there's no
icon in network connections.

Does it sound like the card is faulty, or should I try extracting the
ohci1394 file, from the XP CD again, and replace it?

Thanx

You should try the hotfix from this KB article:

Ta, didnt realise there was a later version
that what I had (5512 on this, 5624 on the site)

Altho this has only got 1 firewire on it (well 1 PCI card with 3 FW ports on
it).

I'll give it a try
