Firewall stopping limewire search.

Yeah hi, i really really need some help the thing is i have just got a pc and
have limewire now everything was great with it till the other day now there
is a firewall stopping me searching and i can not get it off please please
please i am desperate.

Its been a long time since I disabled the xp firewall but I remember I did a
search in the help files for firewall and found how to disable it. First
option in the list was how to turn the firewall on or off.

either turn off your firewall or access its settings/options and allow your
search engine to scan you pc.

Mine was the same..couldnt get thru the FW at first, then I found settings
in Limewire that allow you to tie in by means of a second type of
connexion..
I selected that and it now connects fine w/o disabling your FW. Look into
the settings in the Limewire drop downs
