Im running WinXP Pro, and im pretty sure I disabled the firewall last time.
Problem is, I cant re-enable it due to "Group Policy." I have NO clue how to
reset it so that windows firewall automatically turns on, or even turns on at
all. I wish I could remember what I did to turn it off, lol. Any suggestions?

If Group Policy prevents the firewall from being enabled, you'll have
to ask the network administrator to change the policy.

Hey are they hiring over there? If any didn't know one could muster up the
courage to get a IT career going with such limited knowledge of windows.
Instead of looking down on younger people, our friendly corperate executives
need to look to us for some cheap reliable labor. There are those left out
there with more than half a brain you know. And i assure you, i can turn on
your firewall in two seconds and if its a group policy problem, make that 1
second. gpedit.msc then read the description. try not to trip.

To *sigh: Amazing, but this doesnt tell me anything? Where do I go? Under
which settings do i go under, computer or user? And even after that, what do
I do? Congratulations. youve succeeded in not helping. I know my way around a
computer but ive messed up my windows more than once playing around with
this. Can anyone with *REAL* computer know-how help?

Ive naviagted this gpedit.msc and nowhere in it do I see anything about
"Windows Firewall" and I would really like to get windows firewall up and
running. Any help on its location or how to enable the option to allow
windows firewall to run?
