Firefox 1.0PR bookmarks anomoly

Mark Carter

A wierd thing is happening to my Firefox. The problem has manifested
itself recently.

Selecting menu item Bookmarks > Bookmark this page causes the Add
Bookmark dialog box to appear. Clicking on OK does not cause the dialog
box to disappear, which is the wrong behaviour. I need to click Cancel
in order to make the dialog box disappear.

I can add bookmarks, but when I exit and restart Firefox, the bookmarks
have disappeared.

Any suggestions? Hopefully it's not a virus.

You probably have a corrupted profile. You can learn how to deal with it

Try the official FireFox 1.0 release & see if it still happens. It was released nearly a month
ago, so PR issues shouldn't really be topics of discussion anymore. Get FireFox 1.0 from
