Fire FTP Client Ext for Firefox

Just saw this in another newsgroup and thought I'd pass it on

Introducing fireFTP, a cross-platform FTP client for Mozilla Firefox
which provides easy and intuitive access to FTP servers. NOTE: This
program is still in 'beta' meaning that while it works just fine, it is
still in development and there are still features and improvements to be
made.

* Features include:
o Any operating system: Windows, Macintosh, and Linux
o Compact: only 60KB in size!
o Resuming: resume broken downloads
o Tabbed Transferring: use fireFTP in a Firefox tab
o Passive/Active Mode: support for both modes of transfers
o Proxy Support: proxies aren't a problem (SOCKS only)
o And best of all: it's FREE!

Zo, how to install this into FF 1.03?
It just downloads, does not (for me) install directly as an extension.
Since this will be another tab, advice?

TIA

Just drag it into FF window!

Ciao,
Thanks. I did that, it installed .... can't see any change in screen. How
does this get activated?

I hope this will solve the problem that in some links, they open an IE
window automatically, IIRC, they are ftp sites.

Tools - FireFTP
There, on the right-top, you can set your preferences, for example to open
it in a new tab or in a new window.

I don't know, but I'm afraid that this is another issue.
I use FireFTP as a ftp client, to upload files to my sites.
However, when I click on a ftp link FF opens fine, even when I don't have
FireFTP installed or enabled.

Thanks, Maria.
I will save your data for later. Now, it turns out I'm just waiting for FF
1.0.4.... In a previous thread, I wanted a noinstall FF like 1.01 and
previous, got steered on FF forum to a daily 103, so will finally go to 104
install, or if it keeps updating as a new install each time, go back to 093
that always worked fine.

I've never had the issues that lots of people mention with "critical
problems" on the net.
