Hi All! -- I have a question and please forgive me if I'm an idiot for not
seeing how to do this! Recently, I went into an old folder of PDF files --
files written at various times in the past and obtained from a colleague --
and renamed many of them. Then I dragged them to a different folder. Now
I'm in need of locating all those particular files. However, sorting them by
"Date Created" or "Date Modified" doesn't help because all these files
already had such dates and I didn't modify the files themselves in any way --
just the names. Presently, the files I moved are scattered throughout the
folder, nestled amid others alphabetically (which is the system I used in
this folder to name things). Is there any way whatsoever to make Windows XP
sort the files in the folder by the date on which they were written TO that
particular folder? Is there, by any chance, a third-party program that will
either do this or at least give me a list of when all the files in the folder
were written to that folder? Or am I totally screwed? Any help would be
VERY greatly appreciated -- many, many, MANY thanks in advance for your time
and help!
