finding and importing old data

My computer recently died. I've bought a new one and converted the old hard
drive into an external. While I've been able to import my old emails, I
cannot locate and import my apportments or contacts, which is kind of a
crisis. Please help.

Well if you are refering to Outlook, Importing is rarely the way to go.
All data, mail contacts, calender etc is contained within the data file
(*.pst)
You should locate these file(s) open them within Outlook, and copy data from
old to new
