"Find" works sporadically

I use XP.

When I am on any type of page, be it a web page, an email page, a Word page,
a page I'm workin on in Front Page Express -- you name it -- when I use the
Ctrl+F (Find) key or if I go to the pull-down menus to click Find, it is
totally unreliable.

Sometimes when I KNOW that a word is there and it is not showing up, I will
do it "UP" and "DOWN" 2-3 times, and then it might work; but then again it
might NOT. Sometimes if I get out of the page and come back to it, it will
work, but I can never depend on it.

Any suggestions as what to do? Thanks.

Hi Dee,

The search in Windows XP is notoriously unreliable.
I recommend Agent Ransack, an excellent freeware search utility.
