Filter by Subject field for items beginning with SMITH,J*?

My subject field is never the same, but it always starts with client's last
name, first initial (Ex: SMITH,J - has client responded to offer?). HOW CAN
I FILTER EACH CLIENT? I'd like to search for items beginning w/ "SMITH,J"
but don't know how. Can anyone help?

CLick Tools>Rules and Alerts. Create a new rule and use the condition "with
specific words in the subject". See Help and look for "Create a rule".
