filesharing error

Hi Everyone

I have a filesharing problem which is proving quite hard to resolve

I have a wireless router the linksys wag54, pc1 is connected to the router
by ethernet cable, pc2 is connected by ethernet, and my laptop connects
wirelessly.

All systems have been manually configured ip addresses and dns.

Everything works except for when i want to access shared folders on pc2 i
get an error message saying \\Epsilon is not accessible........ ACCESS DENIED

this is from pc1 and the laptop, it just pc2 will not share its shared
folders or files.

Also i can access the shared files of pc1 and the laptop from pc2.

I don't have any firewalls installed on any machine i just have the router
firewall and the windows firewalls are all disabled.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated

Darren

Darren,
1. Does PC2, have XP Home or Pro installed?
2. If it has XP Home is installed. You cannot share certain protected
folders on your computer. These include the Documents and Settings folder,
the Windows System or System 32 folder, and the Program Files folder. You
also can't share files from other users’ profiles.

Here is more information of file sharing for XP:

http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/broadbandnetworking/10_concept_file_share_setup.mspx

Near the bottom of the page under Limitations explains about it more.

Darren,

If you're seeing this in Network Neighborhood, you may have a browser conflict.

If you're seeing this when opening specific shares, is PC2 running Simple File
Sharing (either XP Home, or XP Pro with SFS enabled)?
