Files did not copy off CD

I went to install Windows XP onto my hard drive after formatting (it was time
to clean up so a fresh install seemed right) and I ran into some problems.
Multiple files did not copy off of my XP 2001 SP1 CD. Here's a list:

usrfaxa.dll
usrdtea.dll
usrdpa.dll
usrcoina.dll
usrcntra.dll
wowfax.dll
wowfaxui.dll
vdmindvd.sys
tsbyuv.dll
tsbvcap.sys
topsdvd.sys
driver.cab (and I know that is horribly important)
wdmaud.drv
usbcamd.sys
usbcamd2.sys
usrlbua.dll
usrmlnka.exe
usrprbda.exe
usrrtosa.dll
usrsdpia.dll
usrshuta.exe
usrsvpia.dll
usru42a.dll
usrv8oa.dll
usrvpoca.dll
usrupa.dll

Now, how do I fix this? Is Windows going to have a problem running? I'm
going to put driver.cab into the proper directory (stealing it from my other
computer) but what about the other things? Could I just do a Windows repair
once I've done my first boot?

Usually when you have problems like that it means you have hardware
failure. Most often this is due to faulty RAM, although it can also be
your hard drive or other components. I would first test the RAM and if
it tests OK, then the hard drive.

1) Test the RAM - I like Memtest86+ from www.memtest.org. Obviously, you
have to get the program from a working machine. You will either
download the precompiled Windows binary to make a bootable floppy or
the .iso to make a bootable cd. If you want to use the latter, you'll
need to have third-party burning software on the machine where you
download the file - XP's built-in burning capability won't do the job.
In either case, boot with the media you made. The test will run
immediately. Let the test run for an extended period of time - unless
errors are seen immediately. If you get any errors, replace the RAM.

2) Test the hard drive with a diagnostic utility from the mftr. Usually
you will download the file and make a bootable floppy with it. Boot
with the media and do a thorough test. If the drive has physical
errors, replace it.
