Files and settings transfer wizard

i've backed up some stuff (340 meg) and now when I try to
restore it, I get the message:
"An error occurred while the wizard was loading your data.
The wizard cannot create the data needed to save your
settings. Make sure you have enough disk space available."

Ive got loads of space on my H/D. Is there any way of
recovering the file?

How did you back it up? Was this a pre-upgrade backup and a post upgrade
restore?

Dux, the files should still be available. When you backed up where did
you send the files to? Do a search. Just type:
Backup.
