Filenames turned blue?

Jeff

I'm using XP Pro. Suddenly many of the filenames in some of my folders are
dispayed in blue text. Not all of them are however, some are still black -
as they have always been. Some folders have no blue names at all, others
have loads of them.

It makes no difference which view I use - list/details/tiles etc, they
remain blue. The files behave perfectly normally, and open up etc without
problem. The files are in various MS Office apps - doc, ppt xls.

Can anyone explain what's happened and why please? Thanks

this is normal, the files haven't been accessed in a while so they have been
compressed, the blue colour signifies a compressed file, nothing to worry
about
