~ File ?

On several of our computers, after using the internet, a
file appears on the desktop. It's name seems to be "~" and
in the properties the file type is "file"
It's about 960kb and growing. All we do is delete it but
it comes back time and time again.

Anyone seen this before?

Getting fed up with this one myself. It seems to be a recent thing. It just
keeps getting bigger and bigger and when you delete it it just comes back.
