File Transfer delema

Guest

Just bought a new Dell PC, with Vista Home Premium. Took the Hard drive out
of my old PC, which was running LINUX, and put it into an external hard drive
shell.
When I connect the external drive to my PC and power up the new PC sees it
in the device manager but not in My Computer. Is there a program I can use
to transfer the files I need from the extrnal drive to the new PC?

I believe there is an ext2/3 driver for MS and a reiser read-only driver -
I have no idea whether or not they would work with vista. Other option:
boot your linux distro or a Live CD and use ntfs-3g Linux driver to
transfer data.
