I accidentally started reformatting the drive in my laptop looking for
tools to fix the driver for my cd-rw, like chkdsk or others. It did 10%
as soon as i pressed the button. I know i am very dumb. I think the file
system is messed up. I tried chkdsk /r , fixboot, and fixmbr. Nothing is
working. How can i recover from this without a fresh install of windows
or at least recover the data from the hard drive. Also i tried
c:\>bootcfg /scan it says "Failed to successfully scan disks for
Windows installations this error may be caused by a corrupt file
system, which would prevent Bootcfg from succesfully scanning. Use
chkdsk to detect any disk errors.". c:\> CHKDSK says "The specified
drive is not valid, or there is no disk in the drive." Please help.
