File Sharing with XP Home and Pro

Hello am a newbie to networking and file-sharing and was wondering if
one of you guys could help me out. Here is my situation, I have 2 Xp
computers running on a WGR614 Netgear Wireless router. One system is
Home and the other is Pro. I went through thewizard on both machines
for networking making each computer on the same workgoup (MSHOME).
After restarting both machines I went into "My Network Places" on the
Pro System. I clicked on "View network computers" and can see both
systems. When i click on the other system(Home) I get a error message
saying: \\(Xp Home comp name) is not accessible. You might not have
permission to use this network resource.
When I click on "View network computers" on the Home system am only
able to see the Home computer, not the Pro. I have no idea what to do!
I turned both systems Xp firewalls off, and on the Pro system I
enabled "Simple File Sharing" in My Computer. I also have a WEP
installed on my network, should I remove this for filesharing to work?
Both computers have all admin. xp accounts without passwords for
login. I think the problem must be something with the Home systems
Access Permissions, maybe am totally wrong....could someone please
help me.
Thanks in advance

WEP has nothing to do with file sharing. Leave it on.

These tips should help you get everything working.

1. Permanently disable XP's built-in Internet Connection Firewall on
local area network connections -- it's for use only on a direct modem
connection to the Internet. Disable and un-install all other firewall
programs while troubleshooting. Details here:

Windows XP Internet Connection Firewall

2. Use only one protocol for File and Printer Sharing. If the network
needs more than one protocol, unbind File and Printer Sharing from all
but one of them. Details here:

Windows XP Network Protocols
http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp/network_protocols.htm

3. Make sure that NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled on both computers.
Details here:

Enable NetBIOS Over TCP/IP (NetBT)

OK I have this setup on my system when sharing files on
XP pro do it normally by right clicking on the folder and
clicking sharing and security, make sure you check off
share this folder, then click SECURITY TAB, than click on
ADD and ADVANCE, then click on FIND now scroll down till
you see Network, click on network then click OK twice now
this is where you set permissions I have it checked off
on the 4,5,6th check boxes so they can read but you can
open it up more if you want. then click APPLY. Now goto
my computer, right click on it than manage, click on
SHARED FOLDERS than SHARES click on the right side of
pane on the folder you shared and go to properties.
Click on SHARE PERMISSIONS tab then ADD and ADVANCE, then
click on FIND now scroll down till you see Network, click
on NETWORK then click OK twice now this is where you set
permissions I have read only checked but again this is
your preference. Then click APPLY I hope this helps it's
a little long winded but I know it works as I tested it
again as I was typing the instructions.
