Where do I find help on this topic? Is this the right MS newgroup?

I have a desktop (XPPro with SP2) using Norton Firewall
I have a laptop (XPHome with SP2) using the new SP2 Firewall

I have a Linksys Wireless 2.4 Router(11b); desktop is hardwired to it;
laptop has a wireless adapter (11g).

Both computers have SAME network group name, MSHOME.
I have enabled 'File Sharing' on c: folder on both computers. Used
WindowsExplorer (right click) to do this.
Properties in Network Connection also has File & Printer Sharing enabled.

Both computers can browse Internet and send/receive e-mail.

NEITHER COMPUTER CAN 'FIND' THE OTHER COMPUTER IN 'MY NETWORK NEIGHBORHOOD'
Error message reads something like, 'MSHome network not found, you do not
have permission......'

What have I missed? Appreciate any and all help!! Thanks,

In your firewalls you should have enabled communication between your
'internal' systems.
Per default SMB traffic 'into' your systems will be blocked by the
firewalls.
So you should specify 'rules' that allow traffic 'into' your systems,
originating from internal addresses.
