File properties in My Computer?

I used to have a field to the left in the My Computer window that showed file
properties and such, but for some reason it just dissapered. And I have no
idea how to get it back, anybody know what to do?

Control Panel > System > Advanced tab > Performance - Settings > 'Use
common tasks in folders'
