File names in slideshow screen saver

I've got a question about the file names in the slideshow screen saver. My
files are pretty deep in my hard drive, and so the path that shows up is
pretty long. I'm wondering if there is any way to shorten it up, so that it
doesn't get cut up when my pictures aren't wide enough. Case:

Pictures are in (and screen saver points to) folder:
"C:/Documents and Settings/Administrator/Stage1/Stage2/"
So whenever my pictures show up, they're like this:
"C:/Documents and Settings/Administrator/Stage1/Stage2/Stage3/Stage4/Pic1.jpg"
Of course, if the picture isn't wide enough, it shows up as:
"C:/Documents and Settings/Admin.../Pic1.jpg"

What I'm wondering if I could do, is somehow completely cut out that first
section (up to "Stage2"), but keep the rest:
"C:/.../Stage3/Stage4/Pic1.jpg"
or something like that. Or, if not, maybe display the whole thing, but if
the pic is too short, put the ellipses on the other end of the path:
"C:/...age1/Stage2/Stage3/Stage4/Pic1.jpg"

I'm comfortable with editing the registry for this if that's what it takes,
but I need a little guidance on where to look.

Move the files to a different folder.

Yeah, I know that'd be the easy thing to do, but I like making things
difficult :)

I like the way everything is organized now, so I see no need to change
things. I'm just wondering if it's possible to do this. If not, it's not
really that big of a deal.

Life would be boring otherwise, eh?

Sorry I don't know of a way. Maybe someone else might jump in here. Good
luck.
