File name automatically changes when saving an outlook attachment

When doing "save as" for an outlook attachment, the file name automatically
changes to any file name in which my cursor is placed. For example, if
trying to save an attachment with an existing file name of labautomation.doc,
the name will automatically change to the file name and extension of the file
in which my cursor is currently placed. As a result, I almost always have
to rename the saved file back to what is was when delivered with the
associated email. How can I get this to NOT occur?

The Save As browse window does that for all Windows applications. If you
click a file in the browse window, Windows assumes you want to use that file
name
