Context menu "New" is missing, also there is no such item if you open
explorer window and try to go File > New
So I can not create new files, folders.

Export the following registry key, and post here.

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\New

Use the File > Export option to export to .REG or .TXT file.

Ramesh,
the article you pointed me to before had the same information.
To get to the registry file, find the directory, insert the shellex, new ...
etc

I did all that, it didn't work even before I posted my question. That is why
I had to go here and seek the help.

I am running Window XP corp edition.

Bondarev,

The (default) value data still remains incorrect.

- - -
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Backgound\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\New]
@=""
- - -

Double-click (default) and set its data to
{D969A300-E7FF-11d0-A93B-00A0C90F2719}

doing that stuff I was making the tiny mistakes. which of course made me
think that the article just doesn't work for me :):)

You're welcome Bondarev.

I knew, and that's the reason I asked for the reg export :)
