File mainserv.exe uses resources abnormally

I have been trying to improve performance, I also have installed a new UPS.
At some point, not everytime, this file starts using resources I believe at
100% which would be 50% of full system resources on this Machine. I end the
process and the processor resources return to normal. Can I determine how to
either eliminate this file/process from starting or correct it's performance.
I also think it is related to the managed power down of the new UPS system
which is unneeded at this time but I am unable to make that change in it's
dashboard. Also DELL does not provide support for this and I have not been
able to find similar questions or answers in my research. This is the last
piece of the performance puzzle; otherwise the machine is working very well
now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Mainserv.exe is a process belonging to the APC PowerChute power management
utility which allows for safe shutdown and adds to power related facilities
already installed on your computer.

For help with APC software your best bet is to ask APC technical support:
