File Attachment Temporary Directory Location

When I receive an email with a file attached, I save the
attachment to a directory I specify. When I "Save As", I
notice the attachment is stored in an OLK6 folder
(located in the Temporary Internet Files folder in the
Local Settings folder in my log-in-name folder in the
Documents & Settings folder). How can I access the OLK6
folder? When I use Explorer, the OLK6 folder is not
visible, even if I have selected the "show hidden
folder/file" option in Explorer.

If you know the name of the folder, such as OLK6 (which is easy to get when
you use File | Save As to save a copy of a file you opened from an Outlook
item), here's an easy way to display that folder:

1. In Internet Explorer, choose Tools | Internet Options and on the General
tab, click Settings.

2. On the Settings dialog, click View Files. This will display the hidden
<username>administrator.LAN\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files folder.

3. Click in the Address box in IE and append to the folder path "\OLK6" or
whatever the name of your folder is.

Once Windows displays the OLK6 folder, you can use Favorites | Add to
Favorites to create a shortcut in IE so that it's not so difficult to locate
next time.
