File Attachment Appearance

Hi.

My boss has Outlook 2K running on Win2K SP4. When she inserts a file
attachment to a message the attachment shows as an icon inside the body of
the message. Other times the attachment will show at the bottom of the
message window (not inside the message body). What triggers this to appear
in 2 different ways? The file attachment is sent without problems under both
circumstances.

Thank you.

One of the most frequently asked and answered questions of all time. Google
Groups is your friend. Here's the answer yet again:

If you compose your message in Rich Text format, attachments will appear
within the body of the message (although they're still attachments and not
really embedded), If you compose your message in Plain Text or HTML, the
attachment will appear in a field of its own.
