Hi all,
This is a complicate question. When I type C:\WINDOWS\K in address bar of
IE, it would then display a list of files that match the pattern. And then I
can select one of them and open it (e.g. c:\windows\kb329115.log). By this
method, even I set enable to "Hide these specified drives in My Computer" and
"Prevent access to drives from My Computer", users can access the local
files. How can I disable this "search" feature? I had already set "Do not
search from the address bar" in IE advanced property.
If it has no way to disable it, can I remove the IE address bar? I had
added the registry
HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Toolbar\Restrictions\NoAddressBar and set it
to 1, and I had disable the customization of IE toolbar. But if users open a
web page that contains a link:
<u onclick="window.open('http://www.microsoft.com',null,'location=yes')">Oh
my god</u>
Then, oh my god! The address bar come out again. Can anyone help me?
Thanks,
kk
