Field order in address book "contacts"

N

Nick

Probably another easy one, but thanks anyway.

I have recently made the switch from Outlook express to Outlook 2003, and I have found a problem:

When I want to write an email, I click on 'new message' and then I click on the address book icon to the left of "To..." . In OE this always brought up the familiar Address book, with "Select Names" at the top, and displayed the names in alphabetical order by last name, which made sense to me. In Outlook 2003, the same address book pops up, but with the names in alphabetical order by first name, which is way less convenient I find.

I imported all the contacts, calender items etc etc with the import export tools, and had no problem with that part. When I look at contacts in the contacts frame, they appear as I had formatted them - alphabetically by last name, in any of the views (ie address cards, phone list etc).

I'm puzzled. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Nick,

at first please don´t send HTML format emails to a newsgroup. Please use
only "Plain-Text".

About your problem. Have a look on this site for "How to to change the
"setting" to last "Name, First Name":"

"Arrange contacts in last name, first name order"
