Field Linking in Forms

Hi,

Since the fields in an item is pretty standard, is it possible to link a
field from a different item type?

I need to be able to do this:
When I create a journal for a particular contact, I want to bring over the
'account' field value of that
contact to the journal item created wether a new field or as a value saved
into one of the journal item's
field.
This is so that when we process the journal, we can group it by the
contact's account.

An Outlook folder shows only data for the items in that view. Therefore, you would have to add code to copy the data from the contact to the journal item.
