Faxind and dial tone

Am using the Fax program installed with Windows XP Home edition. When I ask
the program to " send " the dialing process begins but there then is an error
message saying that there is no dial tone. I am connected with broadband in
the usual way. can anyone help please ?

You cannot fax over broadband without special filter on DSL line.
If you have cable broadband you must use service like eFax etc.
