can anyone tell me if there is a pci slot 56k voice/fax
modem that will work on xp pro? I would like to have the
same features of my old isa fax/voice modem that even came
with "free" answering machine type software. This modem
did know the difference between fax and voice calls... it
was great... I used it as my home answering machine.

Distinctive Ring is not supported by Windows XP. Therefore, Windows XP Fax
will answer every incoming call it receives. The alternative is to install
an external switching device to your phone line.
