Favorites on 2 Machines

J

John Gregory

Three machines on a home network running 3 different platforms; WIN95 (not
involved), WIN98SE, Windows XP HE. The last is my newest and I'm just
becoming familiar with it. Most of my references are on the portable running
WIN98SE... that's where most of my Favorites are listed. I've mapped the C
drive of the portable and access Favorites with easy. The problem comes in
when I attempt to add a Favorite site to that portable from the WinXP
machine; can't do. At least I haven't found a way yet. I keep ending up at
the Favorites file the moment I click Add to Favorites. Anyone have a
suggestion? Am I overlooking something? I may be too close to the trees to
see the forest at this point.

John,

Map [to the portable computer's favorites folder] to a drive letter, say Z:

Then, redirect the XP computer's favorites location in registry. See"
