Fastest Intel P4 CPU with P4T533-C

M

Malam

I have an ASUS P4T533-C motherboard running an Intel P4 1.8 B CPU at
400MHZ. What is the fastest CPU that I can install in this board.
Most of the CPU that I see with higher speeds do not run at 400MHZ.
Any ideas please.

Thanks

That motherboard can take any CPU with either a 400 or a 533 MHz FSB.
The fastest that you can go is a 3.06 GHz CPU (with Hyperthreading).
Contrary to what the Asus web site says, you do not need to install IAA
(the Intel applications accelerator), which is just an alternate IDE
device driver, but if you do install it you need one of the later
versions (I think that this is what they were trying to say, but what
they implied was that IAA itself was required, which is not correct).
