After trying to reinstall windows 200 pro in safe mode and
apparently doing same, I pushed the F8 key when it was
rebooting thinking that I should stay there. Now when asked
to reboot, the screen gets to "starting windows" and the
give me this message "Windows 2000 could not start because
the following file is missing or corrupt:
\WINNT\SYSTEM\CONFIG\SYSTEM.SAV"
I am stumped with this problem. The Windows 2000 cd will
install its self and I can get to the Recovery Console.
The only file that I didn't have a backup of was the
Netscape Email files and these are critical to me!!
I do have a ERD saved lately but the auto repair will not
get me past the above hurdle.
Please Help.
