I have a key on my new MS Wireless keyboard labeled F Lock.
What do it do?
It toggles between the two sets of functions on the F(n) keys. The first set
of functions (Help, Undoo, Redo, New, Open, Close, Reply, Fwd, Send, Spell,
Save, Print) are indicated on the keytops and the second set (F1 thru F12)
on the sloping front sides. Unfortunately Microsoft chose to have the
keyboard start with F Lock in the "off" state, so you get the new functions
instead of the old ones when Windows starts up. I've seen several "fixes"
for this; none of them are very satisfactory save for hitting the F Lock key
automatically after Windows boots.
I never knew what Scroll Lock did.
But my new keyboard doesn't have that one.
Yes it does. It's on the sloping fron side of the "Pause Break" key to the
left of F Lock.
