exporting filter data

In Access 2000 , I want to export those filtered data to a specified data
format like xls. Because too much data, I press ctrl-a to select all data
filtered and export, but I found all the data exported including those not
satisfing my filter expression. What is wrong with my actions and what shall
i do ?

The export process will export all data in a table or all data returned from
a query (based on the query's criteria).

It appears that you're filtering while viewing a table? If so, what you need
to do is create a query that will select the desired records (based on your
filter) and then export that query.

If you want to do this by a form, then you can use VBA code to create the
desired, filtered data and do an export "under the covers".

Can you give us more information about what you're viewing when you want to
do the export?
