Exporting Custom fields in a contact

G

Guest

I am trying to export my contacts to a .CSV file - the problem that I am having is that my contact form has customized fields added to it. When I export - my customized fields are not exported. I have tried changing my view to a table and adding the fields on that view - and I can not get them to show up there either

Does anyone know of a software package out there that will enable me to export all my contact information

Thanks in advanc

Outlook doesn't support exporting custom fields. Quick and dirty method:

1. Put all the items from your form in one folder.
2. Use a table view to display all the data fields that you want to export
to Excel.
3. Choose Edit | Select All.
4. Choose Edit | Copy.
5. Paste to Excel.

Otherwise, you'd have to write custom code or use a third-party application.

Sue - I also need to make an Excel Database from my Custom Contacts files.
I tried your instructions below and when I paste in the Excel file, I just
get a picture symbol in the first cell.

What am I doing wrong? I am using Outlook 2000.

A picture symbol? I've never seen that. You selected items in an OUtlook
table view, right?
