Outlook Custom Forms

I have read that importing data to Outlook form is not possible. I have
customized a number of fields, published the form and created a subfolder of
contacts to import specific data. It appears Outlook will default to the
Contact form not allowing me to map to fields. I was trying to get rid of BCM
because it fails to provide a view of activities without opening individual
emails, notes, etc. However, I have been able to customize and import to BCM.
Will BCM export customized fields into a Outlook Contact custom form? Any
suggestions or options I should consider?

Your understanding is correct - the Outlook import/export wizards do not
support custom fields with or without a custom form.

Re: BCM to Outlook custom form - have never seen anything that provides that
functionality (nor do any ContactGenie products provide that capability at
the moment)

Will the data porter 2 allow exporting of BCM which i think is a sql database
to Outlook Contact Forms? Or will i need to export BCM to csv or other format
then to contacts?

Will need to export BCM data first to the desired format - CG products
support the major data formats and while DataPorter (Pro Edition only) has
native SQL server support - suggest you let BCM create the data file to be
used by DataPorter for importing into standard Outlook. (would also not
recommend anyone importing data into the BCM backend outside of Outlook
without initimate knowledge of both the front and back ends)
