Exporting Check Boxes in Word

Guest

I have created a report with a number of check boxes on it. The check boxes
show up OK in the print preview window in Access but when I try to export the
report to Word in either html or rtf format, the check boxes disappear. I
assume it is because the boxes are not recognised by Word as a character or
letter.

How can I get the check boxes to appear in the Word document without going
through the database and redefining the check boxes as something else?

Thanks

You're right - Word does not recognize the check boxes (I assume they are
Yes/No field type). What I do is to create a Report for export by altering
the Report itself or the underlying Query. On the report create Unbound Text
boxes and in put =[field] for each of your fields. The display as 1 or 0 if
True or False. Or you can add the fields to the Query itself, Hope this
helps, yell if you need more info. Yours - Dika

Thanks for your reply. I cahnged the report from check boxes to unbound text
boxes and for each one, defined the format as Yes/No and the report shows yes
or no depending on the status of the check box.

Phew!

Cheers
