System:

IE v. 6
XP SP2

512 Memory
90% Harddisk free

Disk has been defragged.

Ran Spybot, AdAware, TrendMicro House Call, McAfee

All have similar software loads with minor variances

Problem 1:

Type in a URL takes 2 - 3 minutes for the site to appear

Search for a site from Google, click on a link 2 seconds later the link
appears

Out of 5 machines 2 machines are doing this.

Problem 2:

Go to Windows Explorer, takes anywhere from 1 - 5 Minutes to populate the
left hand side with the content of the harddrive.

Out of 5 Machines this is occurring on one machine. This machine is also
one in the previous identified problem.

Have shutoff WIA and have ran sfc to no avail.

You're loading something. Obviously you have read this;
Long delay before files appear in My Computer in Windows XP:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;819017

Using those as an example, you would have to try some of your other
installed stuff. Maybe 'roll back driver' on something like a USB hub,
etc.

Yup read that article several times and after running bootlog found none of
the devices listed in the article. However, after going through the
services found 3 services from service pack 2 being turned on that were off
before as the culprits. Yes one of the services was WIA but I can not
recall what the other two services are. Do not have my notes here from the
service call today, but will post the other services later. Yes, I am
forwarding the field notes to Microsoft tomorrow.
