Explorer Makes a buzzing sound

Hello,

I'm having a strange problem. Starting yesterday, when I click a link, my
computer makes a buzzing sound, almost like a blown speaker. But the speakers
are not blown (I've switched them, and still got the sound). Also, all the
music I play seems fine. I've turned off all the sounds in the Control Panel,
and I still get the sound. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing
this buzzing sound when I click links.

Hi Mark

Do you have a popup blocker? You might check and disable any sound setting
on it if you do and see if that helps. Disable any 3rd party toolbars or ad
blockers too and see if that helps.

Another note.......try turning down the volume on the Modem as far as it
will allow.

This can also sometimes happen using a USB mouse as well. If you have one,
try using the adaptor and hooking it up to the regular PS2 mouse port and
see if that helps.
