Sound schemes buzzing after Windows XP Service Pack Installed

David

Ever since I installed the Windows XP (Professional) Service Pack 2, I
intermittently get a loud buzzing sound for some sound schemes such as
"device disconnect," "new mail," "start windows," and "device failed to
connect." Although not all the time do I get a loud buzzing noise replacing
the standard sounds, but when they sound--- uuuuggghhh! Can anyone help me
correct this problem?

Thanks!

I think I'm stuck. I've got a case of Turtle Beach Voyetra Santa Cruz
http://www.turtlebeach.com/site/kb_ftp/5851008.asp pointing their fingers at
Dell and Dell giving incomplete information. Any suggestions? I've got a
Dell Dimension XPS B1000 computer that's not in warranty any longer. Here
is what Turtle Beach says:

"You have an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) version of the Turtle
Beach
soundcard that was licensed to be included in your Dell computer and used
ONLY
with that computer, in the original Windows Operating System as per Dell's
specifications.

All Technical Support questions regarding the soundcard and software
applications must be forwarded to Dell Technical Support. The support
pages at this site are ONLY for the RETAIL version of the Turtle Beach card.

If you Upgraded your Windows OS to a different one than the originally
loaded
with your System, neither Dell nor the Original Manufacturer (VTB) will
support it. Your System Admin who installed the new OS in your Computer
should be able to assist you with installation of the components.

This said, documentation and Drivers are free to Download and you are
welcome to use it ON YOUR OWN and at YOUR OWN RISK."

Get the driver from the Dell website.
