explorer.exe shutting down

Its not really a massive problem, but Ive just installed
windows xp pro .. everything is ok .. but when I shut
down, every time, I get a message saying that
Explorer.exe has problems closing and that windows is
closing it down. I assume Explorer is the internet
explorer.. and that works fine. Nay ideas how to stop
this.
Many Thanks ..

I had this same problem. My w2k pro machine would hang
on shut down. My problem was a virus named w32.pinfi. I
ran an online virus scan and got rid of it. just a quick
fix that worked for me.

This is related to Windows Explorer (the shell) and not Internet Explorer.
The only way to know what's happening is if we have more details. You should
have the option of "Click for more details..." which will tell you exactly
what happened.
