Hi

Check your date/time settings within control panel.

It can also be your BIOS clock.

You need to dig into the settings for your locale, in control panel. In
addition to making sure date and time are correct, within the Locale
settings are two drop down controls--for Short date format and Long date
format. Reset those to the very first choice in both cases.

I can't guarantee that this will work for all language versions and locales,
but it has worked for nearly everyone so far.

Yeah I remember I changed my short format to the same as
my long format and poof it no longer worked! I changed it
back and poof it works thanks for the great info guys!

I REALLY want to know what the routines are like that are involved in this
date function. Since they involve the beta time bomb, I suspect I'll never
find out, but it'd be interesting to know what happens as the date format is
changed.
