DLd an Expired version

I just downloaded Beta from the microsoft site...and it says it is expired
(dec 21 2005. Is there an updtaed version. I am surprised, cause as I
said...I dl this directly from MS.

Here's a fix which others have found effective--found by several users here,
but this set of instructions is well-formulaged by Cgara:
----
suggest you connect to the internet, open Windows Explorer, then select in
order, the plus signs beside "My computer", "Local disk", and "Programs".
Then double on "Microsoft Antispy" and then "GIANTAntiSpywareUpdater.exe".
That is the file next to the pale satellite
dish symbol.

Thanks for the info. Just kinda baffles me that Microsoft isn't saying
anything abou this issue on the page. They should have a box or something
letting people know that they have to run an update, NOT re-download the
software. Or, even better, update the software download so it's not expired
before you download it.

The problem is apparently not in the download system, strange is that may
seem, from the appearances.
