Exe files, XP vs. earlier

I recently downloaded Spybot and Adaware to my XP computer. You
initially load one EXE file for each program. If I copy those EXE
files onto a CDROM and copy them onto a Windows ME computer, would you
expect those programs to load/set up correctly?
