Excel Link issue

Hi,

I have a powerpoint presentation with links to several Excel spreadsheets.
However, the link in the Powerpoint presentation has the outline of the excel
cell around the linked data.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this??? (i need to keep the links in the
presentation)

it might be that the gridlines are turned on in excel.
under view/ tick off gridlines (in show/hide group).
